If the enamel is sprayed with more glue solution so that it is damp but not wet, the template can be placed so that it overlaps some of the previously sifted but unfired enamel. A second color of enamel is sifted over the first. In this case, the enamel is a flux which looks the same as the first color until it is fired.
After the stencil is removed, stray grains of enamel are cleaned form the copper with a brush.
